Hi. I'm James Watson. I was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 6th, 1928. I also went to grammar school just like my friend
Dr. Crick. In 1943 I attended the University of Chicago. Later I moved to study at Cavendish Laboratory where I met Dr. Crick.
I was a whippersnapper to him. I was only 23! Either way, we became good friends and began research on the structure of DNA.
I would like to take some time to brag about some of my awards. They include: the John Collins Warren Prize of the
Massachusetts General Hospital, with Crick in 1959; the Eli Lilly Award in Biochemistry in the same year; the Lasker Award,
with Crick and Wilkins in 1960; the Research Corporation Prize, with Crick in 1962; membership of the American Academy of
Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, and Foreign membership of the Danish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
So how many awards do you have again?
